Work in Progress
THE
SYNOPSIS
We live in a sociocultural context where, in order to avoid mentioning about censorship or limits, countless of small abuses are tolerated. We become indulgent and permissive beings, lightly following common habits, without realizing that those can destroy us. And when turning around and seeing what happened, there may be no way back. Inside, subtle psychic and physical movements are born and dead in a matter of seconds. Our entity is on alert, and at the same time numb, you scream and no voice comes out.
A-Cos.o, a Spanish word that defines disqualifying practices in social, psychological and physical spheres, contains within it the Catalan word “body”, the central axis of the artistic work for this Tap Dance proposal of contemporary movement, dramaturgies, projections and original music.

THE
SYNOPSIS
Our wars, failures and victories speak of who we are, but we are also the ones who decide to what extent we want this to define us. Our path is a summary of scars that attest that the fight happened, that it belongs to us as part of our history.
“Our scars make us know that our past was real”
- Jane Austen
The new scar arrives and moves between the emotional walls that we build to isolate ourselves from the outside, those that we define to enter and exit them; a space in echoes of reality, with anguish for breathing, of unmeasured euphoria and memories of grief.
“Isolation is a way to know ourselves”
- Franz Kafka
The cure begins when we concentrate on what is essential to review the restlessness, the fear, the battle and the defeat, the joy and the disappointment, and give the wound the value that we want it to have, place it in our summary, and move on.
How do you want to face yourself?
How do you want to interpret your own scars?
How do you want to face yourself?
In Summary of Memories and Scars, internal dialogues in Tap Dance, Electronic Music and Motion Graphics offer a vision and a space for introspection and reflection of our own traumas, to walk through its phases and extreme states, to rethink the question we ask ourselves day by day: “What prevents me from moving forward?”

THE CRITICS
PERFECT COMBINATION OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC AND TAP DANCE
Today we attended a show taken care of down to the last detail which has allowed me to let go and introduce myself without any effort in the world of visual and acoustic sensations that it offered me. When the presentation, the music and the interpretation are impeccable, they transport you to indescribable emotions. It is difficult to speak separately of everything I have seen because the whole is magnificent. [...]

ALL SENSATIONS
[...] It is a show where the public has to let themselves be carried away by the sensations and emotions that every detail provokes, losing themselves in the rhythms and expressiveness of the interlocutors on stage. Emotion, pure sensation.

BY GREAT SENSITIVITY
[...] Overall, one of the best shows I've ever had the opportunity to attend. Tap Dance and dance, musician, projections and soundtrack of great quality... Everything provided an environment that materialized what is a "Summary of Memories and Scars". [...]

We inhabit spaces and people, and at the same time we belong to solitude. Our daily life becomes an unconscious manipulation that dilutes our humanity and empathy, and we walk patterns that do not belong to us in order to continue breathing in unison. Inhabit inhabited.

Interaction: influence and mutual affluence between two or more people.
We live in a constant wheel that leads us to communicate even without knowing how depending on what situations. Dialogues, disruptive communication, agreements and disagreements, opinions, monologues, always in constant motion. “What actions are there in the interactions?”

Created in June 2018, Rampas is a one-piece acoustic proposal of the project: a sound game of bass and treble, dynamics and rhythmic contrasts, where rhythm, musicality, improvisation and the instrument itself dominates the scene.
